IHWAP Diagnostics 3.0.4

Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) Diagnostics application is the result of a collaboration between Nate Price, Senior Weatherization Trainer at the Indoor Climate Research & Training Center, and the developer.

The Zone Pressure Diagnostics (ZPD) feature precisely quantifies the relationship between the house and specific zones, as well as their connection to the external environment. Additionally, it provides an estimate of potential leakage reduction in each zone, aiding in the prioritization of air sealing measures. The Total External Static Pressure (TESP) function evaluates total pressure within the duct system by analyzing individual components, enabling a comparison against IHWAP standards for recommended replacements. The application also includes an American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) function to calculate home ventilation requirements, guaranteeing effective pollutant control and compliance with ENERGY STAR guidelines.
